Founded in 2016 by Long Island native Michael Gabriel, The Provisioner NY Deli and Café has become a cherished local favorite. After being sold in 2019, the restaurant was revitalized under the ownership of Executive Chef Ryan Audette, a Rhode Island native with a deep passion for food and community.
Chef Ryan, along with his wife Heather and their three children, have infused the restaurant with fresh energy and a renewed vision. With a culinary background that includes roles as Catering Manager and Executive Chef at one of the area’s largest catering companies, Chef Ryan’s path to restaurant ownership was driven by his dedication to crafting exceptional dishes. He graduated from Johnson and Wales University with an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts and a Bachelor’s in Food and Beverage Management.
The sense of family at The Provisioner extends beyond Ryan’s immediate household. His teenage sons have joined the family business, bringing their youthful enthusiasm and helping to create a vibrant, family-oriented atmosphere. Additionally, Ryan’s brother Nate has become an integral part of the team, further strengthening the Audette family’s presence in the restaurant. Their collective energy and hands-on approach make The Provisioner not just a place to eat, but a place to feel like part of the family.
